Description and specifications:
SKL 12 rail fasteners are supplied as a complete set for installation on concrete, wood and steel sleepers, as well as on solid or ballastless tracks.
Rail fastening Skl 12-32S is supplied in two versions - KD and KB
Vossloh Fastening System c Gmb. X, (Germany) has developed a new Skl 12/32 bar terminal to replace the PK terminal in the KB rail fastening unit.
The use of the Skl 12/32 elastic clamp instead of the PK clamp in the KB rail fastening assembly allowed:
- Increase resistance to theft;
- Increased clamping force of the rail base;
- Reducing the rigidity of the KB rail fastening unit;
- Reduce the cost of current track maintenance;
- Reduce the regularity of tightening the terminal bolts;
- Reduce the cost of the KB rail assembly.
The characteristic property of fastening with Skl 12 terminals is its versatility.
The fastening can be used in the case when the spacers under the rail sole are not used.
Due to the large trajectory of the Skl 12 terminals and their clamping force, these terminals ensure a constant pressing of the rail base also when passing vehicles, prevent the rails from stealing and do not require additional screwing during the exposure and the journey.
In fastening, a terminal bolt of a special shape is used, which is distinguished by the fact that the head has a rectangular shape, which prevents the bolt from slipping when the nut is tightened. The nut rests on the terminal with a flat gasket.
The Skl 12 spring terminal has a clamping force of 12 kN with a spring path of 14.5 mm, which means that two terminals press the rail foot with a force of 24 kN. When mounting the fastener, it is necessary to use individual parts and their position according to appendices A, D and E. The bolt nut must be screwed so that the middle nose of the terminal touches the rail sole, or there is a gap of 2 mm between them. This is achieved by applying a tightening torque (180-200) nm.
The elastic terminal Skl 12 (Appendix B) is made of spring steel and has the shape of a three-dimensional curve. The working shoulder of the terminal is called when:
- Spring path 14.5 mm clamping force 12 kN. On the upper surface of the inner nose of the terminal, a flat part is formed to ensure;
- Perfect flat ring contact. The middle nose of the terminal forms a protection against overturning of the rail and provides protection of the working arms of the terminal against overload (secondary rigidity).
